For many of us, becoming a Christian once felt like leaving behind our Chinese roots.

But this series invites us to discover something surprising and beautiful:

The God we worship today is the same God our ancestors were already seeking.

​

Long before Buddhism and Daoism, the ancient Chinese worshipped a supreme, personal, moral God — known as Shang Di and Tian.

Through history, sacrifice, language, and even the heavens, God was already revealing Himself to the Chinese people.

​

Over the next four weeks, we will rediscover how:
• Our ancestors knew a personal Creator
• Their sacrifices pointed forward to Christ
• Our written language carries echoes of Genesis
• And our history shows that God never forgot China

​

This journey is not about making Christianity more Chinese.
It is about discovering that the God of the Bible has always been at work in Chinese history — lovingly drawing people to Himself.

对许多人来说，成为基督徒，曾经感觉像是离开了自己的中华文化根源。

但这个系列要带我们发现一件既惊喜又美丽的事实：

我们今天所敬拜的上帝，正是我们祖先早已在寻找的那一位。

早在佛教和道教之前，古代中国人已经敬拜一位至高、位格、圣洁的神——称为上帝和天。

透过历史、祭祀、文字，甚至天象，神早已向中华民族启示祂自己。

在接下来的四个星期里，我们将重新发现：
• 我们的祖先认识一位有位格的创造主
• 他们的献祭预表了基督
• 汉字中隐藏着创世记的回响
• 历史见证神从未忘记中国

这趟旅程不是要把基督信仰变得更“中国”，
而是让我们看见——圣经中的上帝，早已在中国的历史中动工，呼唤人归向祂。
